Brewers Summary through May 23

The Brewers have got off to a hot start and have given themselves a decent lead in the division. As of last night they lead by 6.5 games over the Astros and the Chicago Cubs. Some big suprises this season have come from the likes of Geoff Jenkins while we still wait for Billy Hall to heat up. J.J Hardy has by far been the best player on the brewers so far this season although Prince Fielder is also racking up the numbers. The brewers pitching staff has done a phenominal job this season and have kept the brewers in a lot of games. The bullpen has also been excellent except for a few minor blowups from Derrick Turnbow in the last week or so although he seems to be getting back on track. Also Francisco Cordero has been even better than he was last year establishing himself as one of the best closers in the MLB.
